Required Equipment

  • Ski touring skis (well prepared and waxed) *
  • Skins *
  • Harscheisen (ski crampons) *
  • Ski touring boots
  • Ski poles with snow plates (telescopic preferable) *
  • Ski helmet (recommended)
  • Digital 3-antenna avalanche transceiver (provided by us for free for this course)
  • Avalanche shovel (provided by us for free for this course)
  • Avalanche probe (provided by us for free for this course)
  • Backpack
  • Usual ski tour clothing (principle of layers)
  • Rain- and wind-proof jacket (Gore Tex)
  • Rain- and wind-proof trousers (Gore Tex)
  • Softshell jacket or fleece (eg. breathable material)
  • Hat
  • Headband /Buff
  • Sun hat
  • Thick gloves
  • Thermal underwear (eg. Merino underwear)
  • Ski socks (2 pairs)
  • Spare clothing (limited)
  • Toiletries
  • Personal medication, if necessary
  • Sun cream, lip balm
  • Good sunglasses
  • Snacks
  • Penknife
  • Waterbottle (Thermos if possible)
  • Sleeping bag liner (eg. silk)
  • Ear plugs
  • Small first aid kit (plasters, bandage etc.)
  • Swiss railcard (if possessed)

Anforderungen

Technisch einfach

Du benötigst für diesen Kurs keine Skitourenerfahrung. Du solltest aber in der Lage sein, im Skigebiet eine schwarze Piste in allen Schneearten herunter zu fahren. Zudem ist Kondition für Aufstiege bis 1000 Höhenmeter und ca. 4 Stunden sowie Tagestouren bis 5 Stunden Voraussetzung.
