Required Equipment

  • Alpine mountaineering snow shoes (e.g. MSR Evo Ascent) *
  • Ski poles with snow plates (telescopic preferable) *
  • Moderately stiff mountaineering boots or good trekking boots
  • Gaiters
  • Digital 3-antenna avalanche transceiver with full batteries *
  • Avalanche shovel *
  • Avalanche probe *
  • Backpack
  • Usual snowshoe tour clothing (principle of layers)
  • Rain- and wind-proof jacket (Gore Tex)
  • Rain- and wind-proof trousers (Gore Tex)
  • Softshell jacket or fleece (eg. breathable material)
  • Warm Primaloft or Down Jacket
  • Hat
  • Headband /Buff
  • Sun hat
  • Thick gloves
  • Thermal underwear (eg. Merino underwear)
  • Hiking socks (2 pairs)
  • Spare clothing (limited)
  • Toiletries
  • Personal medication, if necessary
  • Sun cream, lip balm
  • Good sunglasses
  • Snacks
  • Penknife
  • Waterbottle (Thermos if possible)
  • Head- or pocket torch with full batteries
  • Lightweight sleeping bag
  • Ear plugs
  • Small first aid kit (plasters, bandage etc.)
  • Alpine Club membership card (if member)
  • Swiss railcard (if possessed)
  • Money for transportation and drinks / snacks
  • Camera (if required)

Equipment items marked with a star* can be be rented from us.

Schneeschuhe, Teleskopwanderstöcke sowie LVS mit Schaufel und Sonde kannst du bei uns mieten.

Der Bergführer wird dir das bestellte Mietmaterial zum Treffpunkt mitbringen. Die Mietkosten sind am Ende der Touren, bar dem Bergführer zu bezahlen.

Anforderungen

Technisch einfach

Diese Touren sind technisch einfach. Das heisst: Das Gelände auf diesen Schneeschuhtouren ist einfach und vorwiegend mässig steil. Es kann jedoch sein, dass wir einzelne steilere Passagen im Auf- und Abstieg begehen müssen. Einzelne kürzere Traversen oder exponierte Passagen sind möglich. Kondition für Aufstiege bis 700 Höhenmeter und ca. 3 Stunden sowie Tagestouren bis 6 Stunden ist Voraussetzung
